WSU Vs. Colorado: Connor Halliday Likely To Start Against Buffaloes

The big question around Washington State this week was who would start at quarterback when the Cougars open Pac-12 play against Colorado on Saturday. After taking the majority of the first-team snaps during Thursday's practice, it appears Connor Halliday will start for the second straight week.

According to Christian Caple of the Spokesman Review, Halliday took the snaps against the scout team while Jeff Tuel looked on. Tuel missed the Cougars' last game with a knee injury and returned to practice this week, although Halliday continued to take the majority of the snaps.

With coach Mike Leach's policy against releasing injury updates, it is still unknown whether or not Tuel is healthy enough to play and has simply lost the starting job or if he's still recovering from injury.
