Pac-12 Basketball: Brock Motum Named Most Improved Player

Brock Motum of the Washington St. Cougars has quietly had one of the best all-around years in the conference. Motum has done great work all season and quietly entered the race for Pac-12 Player of the Year honors. He didn't quite get there--the award went over to Jorge Gutierrez of Cal--but Motum still had some big performances under his belt that kept Washington State afloat in what amounted to a rebuilding year for the team.

Motum earned Pac-12 Most Improved Player, and he did have a fine season, as he became one of the most efficient scorers in the league and vastly improved his rebounding totals. More on Motum after the jump.

Reggie Moore also earned Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors. Davonte Lacy earned Pac-12 Freshman Team votes (although he didn't make the squad) and Marcus Capers earned Pac-12 Defensive Team votes (but also didn't make the team).
