The Washington State Cougars will attempt to close out the non-conference schedule on a high note when they face the Idaho State Bengals on Saturday.
Washington State is 8-4 on the season including six wins in their last seven games. While the Cougars have won games, they haven't been overly impressive in doing so. WSU needed late second half runs to pull away from Buffalo, Jackson State and Fresno State. While WSU has played some less than stellar competition recently, Idaho State may be even worse. Idaho State is 1-9 on the season with its only win coming against Montana-Western, a NAIA school.
The Cougars are led by senior forward Brock Motum who is averaging 19.9 points per game on the season. Motum, who has scored at least 14 points in every game this season, has scored 23 or more points in five of his last six games. Saturday's game is scheduled to tip off at 3 p.m. PT and will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.
With WSU still on holiday break and the majority of the students out of town, Saturday's game will be played at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington.
