Washington St. vs. Colorado Final Score: Cougars Unable To Pull Road Upset Against Buffaloes

The Washington State Cougars were less than 48 hours removed from a tough overtime loss to Utah and the team showed the effects on Saturday afternoon as they fell to the Colorado Buffaloes. The Cougars hung in for most of the game, but a big game from Carlon Brown was simply too much to overcome. WSU fell 71-60 as their record in Pac-12 play drops to 1-3.

Reggie Moore led the way for Washington State with 14 points and did a nice job distributing the ball with four assists and no turnovers. Faisal Aden added 12 points, while Brock Motum scored nine. The Cougars did not shoot the ball particularly well, making just 36.5% of their field goal attempts (19-for-52).

As afore mentioned, Carlon Brown played an incredible game and led the way with 28 points. The senior guard hit six 3-pointers and even brought down seven rebounds. Austin Dufault scored 17 points, while Nate Tomlinson had 11.

The Cougars will have an entire week off to rest both physically and mentally before traveling to take on the Washington Huskies on Sunday, January 15
