The Washington State Cougars begin a 2011 season filled with hope on Saturday, easing into the schedule with Idaho State in Pullman. The Cougars have been bad, to put it kindly, over the last two seasons, but hope springs eternal in Pullman. And rightfully so. With a young and talented nucleus, led by quarterback Jeff Tuel, Washington State fans have reason to be optimistic. And Saturday should, in theory, serve as a way to pick up a win while gaining confidence.
