The Washington State Cougars trail the San Diego State Aztecs 14-10 in the second quarter. The Cougars got off to a fast start but have since stalled.
Washington State's very first play of the game was an 80-yard pass from Marshall Lobbestael to Marquess Wilson, an impressive play to begin any contest with. The Aztecs came back and recorded a 13-yard rushing score by Ronnie Hillman.
The Cougars countered with a 48-yard field goal by Andrew Furney. The Aztecs, however, would have the last laugh. AT the end of the first quarter, Hillman charged into the endzone again on a 12-yard carry to give San Diego State a 14-10 lead.
Lobbestael connected with Isiah Burton on a 23-yard strike in the second quarter to give the Cougars the lead back.
Lobbestael has passed for 169 yards and two touchdowns on nine-of-13 passing. Running back Rickey Galvin, meanwhile, has added 23 rushing yards on four carries.
