NBA Mock Draft 2011: Klay Thompson Slides Due To Sacramento Kings Trade

Washington State wing Klay Thompson seemed like a lock for the 10th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, at least if you were to believe the final iterations of the various mock drafts floating around. Of the major mock drafts, Chad Ford, DraftExpress and Sam Amick all had Thompson at No. 10, heading to the Milwaukee Bucks. But with just hours to go until the draft, the Bucks, Sacramento Kings and Charlotte Bobcats completed a three-way trade that knocked Milwaukee down to No. 19 while moving the Bobcats up to No. 7 and the Kings to No. 10.

With the 10th pick, it's almost assured the Kings will take Jimmer Fredette, and Thompson will likely move down a rung. DraftExpress updated its 2011 NBA mock draft to reflect the changes, and Thompson moved down just one spot to another familiar location. Once again, it's Thompson at No. 11, heading to the Golden State Warriors. It's a pick SB Nation's Tom Ziller called in his final 2011 NBA mock draft and that Nate Parham broke down over the weekend.

We'll find out where Thompson ends up as the 2011 NBA Draft gets underway on Thursday at 4 p.m. Stay with this StoryStream for the latest on the draft.  For the latest projections ahead of the draft, stay with our 2011 NBA mock draft StoryStream.
