When the Arizona State Sun Devils travel to Pullman on Saturday, they'll face a Washington State team that knowns their bowl hopes hinge on a victory over their conference foes. The chances look slim at this point, but if the Cougars are able to knock off the Devils, they will control their own destiny as far as postseason play goes.

They are catching ASU at the right time. The team is coming off a crushing defeat to the UCLA Bruins, a game that saw the Devils lose control of first place in the Pac-12 North. The time could be perfect to knock them off for the second week in a row.

For the Cougars, while conference play has given them trouble more times than not, the team has shown the ability to hang with the better teams in the nation. The home crowd should be able to work as a 12th man for WSU and a few breaks could lead to a big upset victory.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening.
