Azeem Victor has reportedly committed to play football with the Washington Huskies. The 6'4, 225-pound linebacker prospect is from Pomona, Calif. and had been previously linked to the San Diego St. Aztecs.
Victor is ranked as a 3-star recruit by both Rivals.com, who rank Victor 62nd at his position, and 247Sports.
Washington's 2013 recruiting class already includes a number of notable prospects on both sides of the ball. Damore'ea Stringfellow and Darrel Daniels are both four-star wide reciever recruits, and defensive tackle Elijah Qualls, linebacker Sean Constantine and defensive end Daeshon Hall are all four-start prospects set to bolster UW's front seven.
The Huskies had an inconsistent season in 2012, with wins over top 10 teams in the Stanford Cardinal and the Oregon St. Beavers, but a loss to rival Washington State to end the regular season. They head to the Maaco Bowl in Las Vegas to face the No. 19 Boise St. Broncos.
