The Boise State Broncos will attempt to win their third straight Las Vegas Bowl when they face off against the Washington Huskies.
Boise State won the 2010 and 2011 Las Vegas Bowl, knocking off current Pac-12 teams in each contest. The Broncos enter the game having won 10 of their last 11 games. They are also riding a three-game bowl winning streak. The Broncos have one of the best defenses in the country, ranking sixth among FBS teams by allowing just 14.9 points per game.
The Las Vegas Bowl will be the Huskies' third straight bowl appearance. Washington lost to Baylor in the Holiday Bowl last season. The Huskies have won seven games in each of the last two seasons and at 7-5 are looking for their first season with at least eight wins since 2001. While the Huskies have won four of their last five games, they enter the bowl game coming off a 31-28 loss to Washington State in the Apple Cup.
While this will be just the second meeting between the teams, Boise State and Washington will play again in the season opener next season.
