Despite finishing the regular season with four wins in their last five games, the Washington Huskies are underdogs for their matchup with Boise State in the 2012 Las Vegas Bowl.

Boise State opened as a 6-point favorite, and the line has stayed in the Broncos' favor according to Odds Shark. Being an underdog is nothing new to the Huskies this season. Washington was an underdog in eight games this season, finishing with a 4-4 record. Neither the Huskies or Broncos were very good against the spread this season. Washington went 7-5 against the spread while Boise State finished 6-6. The Broncos are 4-0 against the spread in their last four bowl games.

The total for the game opened at just 46 and has dropped to as low as 44-1/2. Both the Huskies and Broncos have strong defenses. Boise State ranks sixth in the country allowing 14.9 points per game while the Huskies are 37th at 23.8 points per game. The 46 point total is the lowest for either team this season.

If the Huskies want to come away with a win, outgaining the Broncos would be a good start. Boise State is 9-1 in its last 10 games when it gains more yards than its opponent.
