2012 Bowl Games: Washington set to face Boise State in MAACO Las Vegas Bowl

The Washington Huskies will try to score on one of the best defenses in the country in the Boise St. Broncos.

Steven Bisig-US PRESSWIRE

The Washington Huskies will face the Boise St. Broncos in the MAACO Las Vegas bowl on Dec. 22 at 12:30 p.m. PT on ESPN.

The Huskies finished fourth in the Pac-12 South with a 7-5 overall record, 5-4 in conference. The Broncos come in as the No. 19 team in the BCS rankings at 10-2 with a 7-1 record in the Mountain West Conference.

The Huskies don't do anything extraordinarily well but they were able to pull off wins in four of their last five games in order to become bowl eligible during a season where they were below .500 through seven games.

They are led by quarterback Keith Price who finished the regular season with 2,486 yards passing with 18 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He is flanked by one of the more underrated running backs in the nation in sophomore Bishop Sankey, who ran the ball 259 times for 1,234 yards and 15 touchdowns this season.

The Broncos bring one of the top defenses in the country as they've only given up a measly 14.9 points per game this season, good for sixth in the country. Their offense is solid but the Huskies will have to score on their defense in order to make this one into a game.
