The Washington Huskies will begin their 2012 season Saturday, Sept. 1 against the San Diego St. Aztecs. The Huskies have dreams of a Rose Bowl bid this season, although they'll receive some tough competition from Oregon and Stanford in the Pac-12 North. Look for junior Keith Price to make a name for himself as one of the nation's top quarterbacks this year.
As for SDSU, the Aztecs finished last season with a record of 8-5 and lost a heartbreaker in the New Orleans Bowl. Star QB Ryan Lindley and running back Ronnie Hillman are both gone, meaning the offense could struggle early in the season. Oregon State transfer Ryan Katz is the new quarterback, and he'll look to talented wide receiver Colin Lockett to make plays down the field.
Game time, TV channel: 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT; Pac-12 Network will televise the game live.
Point spread: Washington opened as 12-point favorites over SDSU. The over/under is at 61 1/2 points.
