Joshua Perkins, Willis Wilson Reinstated To Washington Huskies Football

On Thursday, the University of Washington announced two football players had been dismissed for unspecified violations of team rules. Following practice Friday, Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian announced both players had been reinstated.

H-back Joshua Perkins and running back Willis Wilson were reinstated and returned to practice Friday. Sarkisian said a closer review of the incident as well as talking to team leaders led to him reversing course and reinstating the two players.

"We gathered some more information on the situation and it felt like the right thing to do,'' Sarkisian said, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. "We met with some of the leaders on the team, felt like the right thing to do. Their punishment will be handled in-house and I think that they are thankful for the opportunity to get back and I think that their teammates happy to have them back.''

Both players are expected to play a backup role this season.
