2012 NBA Draft Results: Jared Cunningham Selected By Cavaliers, Dealt To Mavericks

Jared Cunningham was one of the more electric scorers in all of college basketball last season, which was why he decided to enter the NBA Draft after his junior season at Oregon State. Cunningham's stock had risen in recent weeks and was taken with the 24th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

A trade was then made by Cleveland and the Dallas Mavericks, sending Cunningham south to play with Dirk Nowitzki and crew. He appears likely to replace Jason Terry should he elect to leave via free agency.

Cunningham averaged 17.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game last season, making him an All-Conference selection in the Pac-12. He shot 45% from the field and 33.8% from the field. The 6'4 guard averaged nearly 15 points as a sophomore the previous season.
