NBA Mock Draft 2012: Terrence Ross Selected By Boston Celtics

Terrence Ross had a fine career with the Washington Huskies and is now looking to take his basketball career to the next level in the NBA. He already possess the lethal jumper that should make him a scorer as a professional, and his athleticism leaves a pretty high ceiling for him to develop in the coming years. Most feel that he is a lock for the first round, but he has some work to do if he hopes to make the NBA Lottery.

This latest mock draft from CBS Sports has Ross going No. 21 to the Boston Celtics, who will likely have a big need for shooting next season.

Terrence Ross, SG, Washington: This would be the ideal replacement for Ray Allen. He doesn't shoot it quite as well, but he's got length, athleticism and can stroke it from deep.

Ross has a lot of learning to do on the defensive end of the court if he hopes to become a starter one day, but he already improved his game drastically at UW and is a good teammate by all accounts. He would be learning from two veteran stars in Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett (and maybe even Ray Allen for a year or two), which would be great for his development.
