2012 NBA Mock Draft: Terrence Ross To The New Orleans Hornets

Is Terrence Ross a top ten NBA draft pick? NBADraft.net's latest 2012 mock draft has the New Orleans Hornets drafting the former Washington Huskies shooting guard at No. 10 overall in the first round. This selection at No. 10 is higher than several other mock drafts who have Ross typically slotted in the mid-stages of the first round.

At the shooting guard position, Ross will have to prove himself among a strong crop of draft prospects: Syracuse's Dion Waiters, Bradley Beal out of Florida, Duke's Austin Rivers and UConn's Jeremy Lamb. This mock draft has Beal and Lamb being picked at No. 7 and No. 8 respectively while Rivers and Waiters are projected to be picked after Ross at No. 14 and No. 18 respectively.

Ross' offensive skill set is NBA ready. The two-guard is a lights-out shooter with a deadly crossover, at 6'6" he will be able to come off the bench and match up defensively with the majority of opposing shooting guards.

Here is a snippet of Ross' scouting report from NBADraft.net:

Solid ball-handler ...Very good court vision, finding teammates off P&R, or fast break ... Runs the lane well in transition with ability to spot up on the wing or finish a lob
