Perris Blackwell Transfers To Washington Basketball From USF

The Washington Huskies basketball team has a pretty bare recruiting class, so they've been looking hard for some players that can provide relief in the near future. They might have found one in big body Perris Blackwell, who is transferring from the San Francisco Dons and found a new home in Seattle.

Blackwell gives the Huskies a rebounding presence for the 2013-14 season. Blackwell was one of the top offensive rebounders in the country last year, which could help the generally athletic and talented Washington squads much needed extra possessions. He's also able to generate free throw trips, although he's not that great a shooter when he gets there (56.4% from the line), so he'll fit right in with the problems most Washington basketball players suffer from.

To discuss Blackwell with Washington basketball fans, head on over to UW Dawg Pound.
