Washington Huskies head coach Lorenzo Romar and point guard Abdul Gaddy were at Pac-12 Media Day Thursday at the conference's headquarters in San Francisco. They touched on multiple topics.
Romar talked about the home-court advantage he enjoys at Hec Edmundson Pavilion and that the building has been there for quite some time. He's really enjoyed his time in that building.
Romar is impressed by the development of one Jernard Jarreau, who has grown seven inches from his freshman year of high school to becoming a reliable post option for the Huskies.
Romar has enjoyed the Arizona rivalry and how it's developed over the years, particularly considering how some of the games between the two teams have come down to the final buzzer.
Gaddy says he wants to be the best leader possible and has spent time learning from current Huskies who are in or have been in the NBA, like Isaiah Thomas, Quincy Pondexter and Jon Brockman. He's also a fan of the team chemistry, which lacks dominant personalities and is full of team players. Romar believes Scott Suggs and C.J. Wilcox will be leaders along with Gaddy.
