The season opener for the Washington Huskies is just three days away. While Eastern Washington should not present too much of a challenge to UW in week one, it would be nice to have their starting running back in time for the first game. That's assuming he is healthy, of course.
UW practice over. Polk lots of work with ones and sark says he looked good but still too early to say he'll play.
An official announcement could be made on Polk's status as the team wraps up a light practice on Friday, but do not be surprised if a game-time decision is ultimately made. Health will be the determining factor and one would have to assume Polk will be held out against EWU. There are much more important games this season and the running back will need to be healthy for those if the Huskies hope to win.
