Former University of Washington forward Justin Holiday has signed with Belgium's Generalo Okapi Aalstar, a D-1 team, according to Dave Mahler of 950 KJR AM.
The team is located in the city of Aalst, Belgium and is one of the better squads in the entire country. Aalstar was 22-10 in 2010-11 and finished second in the Ethias League, eventually falling in the finals to another dominant team, Charleroi.
Holiday was the team captain for the Huskies during the 2010-11 season, averaging 10.5 points and 5.2 rebounds a game in his senior year. The previous year as a junior, Holiday played well enough to make to the Pac-10 Conference's All-Defensive team. He was second among all Huskies with 41 steals that season, as wee as being third on the team in scoring, rebounds, blocks (38) and assists (75).
The price of this deal was not disclosed.
