2011 Pac-12 Championship Logo Unveiled After Fans Make The Call

After a weekend of fan voting, the Pac-12 unveiled its football championship logo on Tuesday morning. In an effort to increase fan participation while still following the branding initiatives put forth by Larry Scott and the conference's media minds, the Pac-12 gave the fans four choices and put the power in their hands. The options were examined in depth over at CougCenter, because we're nerds that love our graphic design and uniforms over there.

After a Memorial Day weekend filled with furious clicking from Pac-12 fans, logo No. 2 emerged a winner and will be the official design used to brand the 2011 Pac-12 Football Championship. Being that 2011 is the first year the newly-expanded conference will host a football championship, it's a big deal, especially when taking into account the television rights and exposure the game should bring.
