Two players with local ties earned Pac-10 All-Freshman team honors on Monday, including one lights-out shooter for the Washington Huskies. C.J. Wilcox, fresh off his 24-point second half performance on Thursday against the USC Trojans, was named to the All-Freshman team, listed among the Pac-10’s brightest young stars. UCLA’s Josh Smith was also named to the All-Freshman team after making an immediate impact for the Bruins.
The full All-Freshman team includes players from five different teams. Only Stanford was represented twice, with Anthony Brown and Dwight Powell both making the cut. The full list, from the Pac-10 website, is below.

Washington’s Terrence Ross was an honorable mention, earning at least three votes to the All-Freshman team. He was one of only two players to receive the honor, joining Arizona’s Jordin Mayes.
Ross and Wilcox join four other players from Washington and WSU earning Pac-10 honors, with Matthew Bryan-Amaning, Isaiah Thomas and Klay Thompson earning first-team honors and DeAngelo Casto earning second-team honors.
