NCAA Tournament Scores, Old Dominion Vs. Butler: Matt Howard's Buzzer Beater Gives Butler The Win, 60-58

We have our first close finish of the day in the second game of March Madness. Butler and Old Dominion went back and forth all game long, setting up a frantic final minute and our first buzzer beater of the NCAA Tournament.

Old Dominion hung around for much of the game, staying within striking distance until the final moment. After forcing a Butler turnover with just under a minute to go, Old Dominion had a layup rim-out with time winding down. Butler kicked the rebound out of bounds, though, giving the Monarchs one more shot at the tie or the win.

Shawn Vanzant fouled Kent Bazemore early in the shot clock, putting him at the line for two shots with 31 seconds to go. Bazemore nailed them both to tie the game, but Butler had the last shot. At the buzzer, in a scramble at the rim, Matt Howard came through in the clutch, tipping it in and giving Butler the win, 60-58.
