2011 NCAA Bracket And Schedule: TV Information And Times For Washington, Gonzaga First Round Games

The Washington Huskies found out which day they’d be playing to open the NCAA Tournament during the Selection Sunday show, but hours later the time the Huskies will play was released. Washington opens the NCAA Tournament against the Georgia Bulldogs in the East region on Friday in Charlotte, North Carolina. With NCAA Tournament games being broadcast across a variety of platforms this year, it’s no longer just CBS carrying the games, as well. The schedule for Gonzaga’s first round matchup, against St. John’s on Thursday, was also released.

The news on Washington and Gonzaga’s schedule came from Tim Booth, an AP writer in Seattle.

#Washington will be the late game Friday night in Charlotte. Game on CBS. #Gonzaga late game Thurs. in Denver. Game on CBS as well.

It’s going to be a late night for both teams, and the fans, as well. With matchups running all day, and typically running late, who knows when the actual tip-off time will be, though we’ll have clarity as the week rolls on.

Keep an eye out for the updated schedule as it becomes available.
