Selection Sunday 2011: NCAA Basketball Tournament Bracket, Seeding For Washington Huskies

The Washington Huskies will head to for the first round of the NCAA Tournament, as announced during the Selection Sunday show on CBS. The Huskies join the East region. Washington earned a No. 7 seed after an impressive run through the Pac-10 Tournament, capped by Isaiah Thomas' buzzer beater to lift Washington to a 77-75 win over UCLA in the championship game. Washington will face No. 10 seed Georgia in the first round.

Location: The Huskies will play their first round matchup in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Region: Washington is part of the East region. Ohio State is the No. 1 seed in the region.

Seed: The Huskies secured the No. 7 seed and will face the No. 10 seed in the first round. Moving up the chain, the No. 2 seed looms large in the second round.

Schedule: The first round matchup will be played on Friday, with the second round set for Sunday.

Potential second round matchup: The winner of the Washington-Georgia game will likely face North Carolina in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
