Jadeveon Clowney Not Visiting Oregon, Reportedly Down To South Carolina And Clemson

Jadeveon Clowney will not visit Oregon with his final official visit after rumors began swirling indicating he'd be taking a surprise trip to Eugene in the near-future. The rumors came as a surprise as Oregon was never mentioned as a player in his recruitment. Instead, Clowney had expressed interest solely in schools located in the Southeast, with his list of finalists including schools such as Clemson, South Carolina and Alabama.

The news was tweeted by the same person that first reported Clowney's potential visit to Oregon, Justin Hopkins.

With that out of the way, the attention turned to which schools Clowney would choose between when he makes his decision on Feb. 14. South Carolina has always been thought of as the leader, but the rest of his list was unclear, with Alabama and Clemson both in the mix.

Clowney himself confirmed the final two schools he'd choose between on Saturday: South Carolina and Clemson. At this point, it's looking like the Gamecocks will snag the nation's No. 1 recruit on Valentine's Day, a huge pickup for Steve Spurrier.
