Jacoby Brissett Announcing College Choice Friday; Washington Huskies Still In It

Though signing day has come and gone, there's still a few players left undecided and unsigned. Jacoby Brissett, the ninth-ranked quarterback in the class of 2011, is one of those players, but we won't have to wait long to find out his college choice. Brissett is set to announce his decision to the world on Friday night amid speculation that he may be headed to Florida.

The speculation, it appears, was premature, and shot down earlier in the day. Matt Porter, of the Palm Beach Post, heard the rumors, but said sources near Brissett denied the quarterback was set to pledge to the Gators on Friday. Instead, Porter said, Brissett has called coaches at Miami, Florida, Wisconsin and Washington, but will sleep on it before making a final decision.

The Huskies were thought to be out of the Brissett sweepstakes, but apparently still sit in the thick of things. However, Brissett is also said to be leaning toward either Miami or Wisconsin, favoring the Hurricanes because of the school's proximity to his hometown.

Given the volatile nature of recruiting, it's impossible to predict where Brissett will announce, but if he chooses Washington, it would be a cherry on top for the Huskies recruiting class of 2011. Washington landed two quarterbacks -- Derrick Brown and Antavius Smith -- on Wednesday, but Sarkisian was unable to secure the top-flight quarterback he was looking for. Brissett could be that quarterback, and would be a solid addition going forward.

Stay tuned as Brissett makes his decision and announces it to the world on Friday. For more on all the recruiting events of the last two days, check out our national signing day StoryStream.
