Marqise Lee Chooses USC Over Oregon And Miami

The USC Trojans are having a banner day, picking up big-name commitments left and right. The latest highly-touted athlete to choose the Trojans is Marqise Lee, a versatile athlete from California. Lee chose USC over the Oregon Ducks and Miami Hurricanes in a commitment ceremony aired live on Los Angeles television.

Head coach Lane Kiffin is putting together a monster haul of recruits on signing day, un-phased by the sanctions that are currently in limbo. Kiffin is able to sign the maximum number of recruits, 25, this season as USC appeals the sanctions to the NCAA. Facing the prospect of this being the last full recruiting class for the next three years, the USC staff went all-out, landing impact recruits by the handful ahead of, and throughout, signing day.

The one recruit still in limbo, however, may be USC's best. De'Anthony Thomas, a long-time USC commit, is wavering and may switch his commitment to Oregon by the end of the day. Thomas will announce his final decision at 6 p.m. this evening.

Even without Thomas, USC has done an outstanding job with the class of 2011, Lane Kiffin's first full class. As of now, USC is pacing the Pac-12 in the recruiting rankings, with Oregon close behind.
