Rahmel Dockery, a three-star recruit from Curtis High School, chose the Washington State Cougars in a ceremony at his high school. Dockery had narrowed his list to Washington State and Oregon State in recent days before picking the on Wednesday. Dockery is the 27th commitment in Washington State’s 2011 recruiting class.
Dockery is undersized by any definition, checking in at 5-foot-9, 164 pounds, but displayed explosive speed and the ability to break a game open at any moment in 2011. He reportedly runs a 4.4 40-yard-dash, with a nice jitterbug ability allowing him to start and stop at a moment’s notice. A versatile athlete, Dockery played everywhere on the field, working as a running back, cornerback and return-man for the Vikings. At the college level, it’s likely Dockery spends most of his time at cornerback, though he’s also likely to contribute in the return game right away.
