Stephan Nembot, Paulay Asiata To Announce College Decisions On Signing Day

Washington commit Stephan Nembot will join the cast of characters to announce their college decision on signing day, reportedly choosing a school early on Wednesday morning (via Bob Condotta’s Twitter account). This will, apparently, be round three for Nembot, who committed to Washington State in December, switched to Washington just about two weeks ago and then took an official visit to Colorado last weekend. There’s been no word on whether or not Nembot has decommitted from Washington, but the fact that he’s announcing a decision to the world again has to be more than a little confusing.

And thus, you see the fickle nature of recruiting, where the status of a recruit can change in an instant. Nembot is new to football, only picking up the game in the last year, but flourishing on the field. It’s his raw potential that has schools intrigued by him as interest in his services has steadily risen throughout the recruiting season.

Joining Nembot in announcing a college choice will be fellow Washington commit Pauley Asiata. He was with Nembot in Colorado last weekend and will choose a school in a commitment ceremony in Hawaii. Asiata is a four-star offensive lineman, ranked 21st at his position. According to a report by ESPN’s Greg Biggins, Asiata de-committed from Washington and looks likely to end up at Colorado, though we won’t know for sure until tomorrow.

We’ll keep track of both Asiata and Nembot, along with the rest of the Washington commits in our national signing day StoryStream. Stay tuned for what promises to be a fast and furious finish for the Huskies as the look the secure a class that’s shaping up to be one of the best in the nation.
