2011 Alamo Bowl: Washington Huskies To Play Baylor Bears

The Alamo Bowl appears to have settled on their matchup. The Washington Huskies will have their hands full against the remarkable Robert Griffin III and the Baylor Bears. My San Antonio has the report.

The Alamo has the first selection of the non-BCS bowls for Pac-12 teams, and with the Oregon Ducks and the Stanford Cardinal both on their way to the Bowl Championship Series, that means Alamo had their pick of Washington, Cal and Utah for that game. Considering Washington has beaten both Utah and Cal and the Huskies probably have the most proficient offense of all three teams, they became the logical choice.

Baylor has a Heisman Trophy candidate in Robert Griffin III. Considering the local proximity of the Waco-based program to San Antonio, it makes sense that they'd pick Baylor in what figures to be a game without defense.
