Zach Banner Top 5: Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC, Washington

It's looking like Zach Banner could be going Midwest or West Coast after the release of his top 5 schools to Dirk Knudsen of the Northwest Prep Report. Here's the list of those schools.

  • The Michigan Wolverines: Michigan has returned to a physical style of football that relies on winning the trenches, and Banner could be one of those tackles trying to anchor things on the outside.
  • The Notre Dame Fighting Irish: Banner took his official visit to South Bend, and you have to imagine this prestigious program will be in the mix to land him until the very end.
  • The Oklahoma Sooners: A relatively new entry into this recruiting contest, you have to think Bob Stoops's team is a dark horse to land Banner. Still, Banner does have them up there.
  • The USC Trojans: Probably one of the favorites, Banner could team up with Jordan Simmons to provide one of the most intimidating one-two combos in terms of offensive line recruiting in this class.
  • The Washington Huskies: The prohibitive favorite until Banner shows any indication he wants to go anywhere else. The Lakewood product is a Washington local, and it appears like this could be Sark's battle to lose.

Here's video of him talking about the recruiting process and his football team.
