In what has been by far the most exciting game at Hec Ed this season, Washington went into halftime with the 40-39 lead after a Venoy Overton floater at the buzzer.
Overton finished the half with six points, but it was backcourt mate Isaiah Thomas who finished tied with a game-high 14 points and three assists.
The teams played almost perfectly evenly but the biggest difference in the half was that OSU’s defense is indeed improved in 2011 and while they haven’t forced a lot of turnovers, they did build a 12-2 advantage in points off turnovers.
For Oregon State, Jared Cunningham has led the way tied for a game-high 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting.
