Washington Football Recruiting: Joseph Gray Reverses Course, Will Head To San Jose State

Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian was looking to add depth at the quarterback position and appeared to have his man when Joseph Gray committed to the Huskies in the fall. Gray, however, has reversed course, choosing to head to the WAC and play at San Jose State.

Washington does have a backup plan at the quarterback spot and will be playing host to Jacoby Brissett, the ninth ranked quarterback in the class of 2011. Quarterback Derrick Brown, a three-star recruit our of California, will also be visiting the Huskies this weekend, though he doesn't hold an offer yet.

With Nick Montana and Keith Price already in the system and battling for the starting job that opened with Jake Locker's graduation, any quarterback that comes in right now may have to bide their time waiting for an opening. Montana, a redshirt freshman next year, and Price, a redshirt sophomore, enter the spring as 1a and 1b on the depth chart.
