The Stanford Cardinal came out firing in tonight’s nationally televised Pac-10 matchup against the Arizona Wildcats and lead 21-3 at the half. The Cardinal put together a 69 yard touchdown drive on the first possession of the game and have used strong defense to keep the Wildcats in check. Arizona had just 87 yards through the air and 181 total yards through two quarters.
Andrew Luck completed 15-20 passes for 163 yards and a touchdown. Stepfan Taylor added two scores on the ground and Chris Owusu caught five passes for 79 yards and a touchdown.
Nick Foles, returning from a knee injury, was less than sharp in the first half. Foles completed 10-21 passes for 87 yards, but also added an interception. Juron Criner, Arizona’s star receiver, led the Wildcats on the ground with three carries for 50 yards. Criner also caught three passes for 39 yards.
