The Washington Huskies are off to a slow start on senior night and trail the UCLA Bruins after the first quarter, 7-0. After the teams traded three-and-outs, UCLA drove 92 yards in 13 plays, scoring on a 31 yard Johnathon Franklin run. On the ensuing possession, Husky quarterback Jake Locker was intercepted deep in Washington territory, but the typically reliable Kai Forbath missed a 44 yard field goal.
Locker was 3-6 for 16 yards and an interception, also adding 11 yards on the ground. Richard Brehaut wasn’t much better, completing 2-4 passes for 22 yards. Franklin led all rushers with 57 yards and a touchdown.
Emotions are high and the black uniforms are out in force on senior night for UW, so we’ll see if they can capitalize on the buzz in the air at Husky Stadium.
