UW Basketball Halftime Report: A More Aggressive, Assertive Huskies Blowing Out McNeese St. 61-19

As anyone could have predicted, guard Isaiah Thomas has already taken more shots in the first half with a team-high 15 points including 4-for-4 3-point shooting to lead the Huskies to a 61-19 halftime lead over McNeese State.

As everyone might have hoped, the Huskies are also looking much more aggressive inside on both ends of the floor and dominating the rebounding battle despite McNeese State having a taller roster than last week’s opponent Saint Martins.

However, not everything is perfect either – after failing to reach double digits until the 4:45 mark in the first half, the Cowboys scored nine in the final four minutes to finish the half with 19 points.

Thomas was 5-for-6 from the field overall in the half and Matthew Bryan-Amaning was aggressive as he’s ever been scoring 13 points and pulling in nine rebounds.

Patrick Richard leads the Cowboys with five points on 2-for-6 shooting.
