Jake Locker Has Best Practice In Over A Month

Jake Locker is back on a normal practice schedule after spending the last two weeks taking it easy in an attempt to let his body heal from some of the pounding it has taken. Dealing with a multitude of injuries -- a bruised thigh, bruised ribs and a sore shoulder -- has kept Locker from practicing normally during game weeks. Instead, he's been sitting out of practice until Thursday or Friday and getting a few valuable reps late in the week.

This week, however, has been different for Locker. The Husky quarterback practiced yesterday and looked better while doing it, before having what Husky head coach Steve Sarkisian called "his best day of practice in a month" today. Dawgman.com's Chris Fetters passed along the practice notes on Twitter today.

Sark said that Jake Locker had his best day of practice in over a month; Aguilar good to go and Izbicki (sprained foot) will give it a go.less than a minute ago via web

That's good news for Husky fans who are hoping to see a more mobile Jake Locker this weekend against the Stanford Cardinal. If they Huskies can keep Locker upright and in one piece, their chances of knocking off another ranked opponent are much higher.

Locker and UW take on fellow NFL prospect Andrew Luck and the Stanford Cardinal this Saturday at 4 p.m.
