Jake Locker 'Very Sore', Could Be Limited

The Washington Huskies just finished practice for the day and quarterback Jake Locker was "very limited" in his participation. Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian said Locker was very sore from the pounding he's taken and could be limited in what he does this weekend against the Arizona Wildcats.

Seattle Times reporter Bob Condotta passed along the notes from Montlake this evening on Twitter.

Sarkisian said Locker is "really sore'' after OSU game and just being rested. He said there's little doubt Locker will start but said ...less than a minute ago via web

With Locker's mobility hampered by a thigh bruise, the Huskies will likely have to limit his running. The Husky quarterback looked fine in the pocket against Oregon State, leading the Huskies to an overtime win on Saturday. Without being able to use his legs, however, Locker loses one of his biggest weapons.

For now, Locker will take it easy in practice for the second week in an effort to minimize the damage ahead of this weekend's game. How he responds to treatment and how he feels on Saturday will determine the gameplan against Arizona for the Huskies.
