Disturbing Vancouver Riots Video Shows Man Protecting His Store Being Beaten

Videos from the Vancouver Riots are still trickling out and they continue to be disturbing. The mob mentality on display in Vancouver was shocking, and it led to some horrifying incidents on the streets following the Canucks Game 7 loss to the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Finals. Worse than the property damage -- and there was plenty of property damage -- was the senseless beatings as individuals were jumped by groups and assaulted.

Below is one such assault. A man protecting a store-front is attacked at around 3:06 in the video as a fan in a Canucks jersey charges him with a pole. The same man being attacked is then jumped by multiple people and left lying on the ground as the mob continues.

People trying to protect their stores from damage being beaten is absolutely senseless. There's no reason to damage property after a loss, and there's certainly no reason to attack a fellow human. It's disturbing to see the mob work its way through the city, destroying everything in its path. I had no idea how bad a mob mentality could be, but it was on display to a deplorable degree on Wednesday night.

Again, if you know or recognize anyone in the video, please contact police. More information on how to do so can be found here.
