Seattle Storm Vs. Connecticut Sun Halftime Score: Sun Take 45-33 Halftime Lead

Once again, poor shooting hurt the Seattle Storm in the first quarter against the Connecticut Sun, shooting 27.8 percent in the first quarter.

But it was the second quarter that Storm center Lauren Jackson was missed most, with Sun center Tina Charles getting comfortable in the post and helping the Sun to a 45-33 halftime lead.

Charles finished the half with 12 points and eight rebounds while Kara Lawson provided support from long-range with eight points on 2-for-2 shooting from beyond the arc. The combination of Charles' inside presence and the team's 5-for-7 3-point shooting stretched the Storm's defense thin, causing late rotations and miscommunication at times.

The Storm's offensive struggles certainly didn't help matters. Forward Swin Cash leads the Storm with eight points on 1-for-6 shooting while Camille Little added six points and five rebounds. But the Storm struggled to find or hit shots for long stretches and turnovers led to transition points for the Sun on more than one occasion.

The challenge in the second half will be finding ways to generate offense and getting more people high percentage shots. Defensively, they'll have to ind an answer for Charles while also closing out on shooters.
