Sounders vs. Chelsea: Brad Evans Injury Not As Bad As It Looked

Brad Evans took what looked like a nasty fall to everyone present in Wednesday's 4-2 loss against Chelsea. It was probably the worst result for Evans considering the nature of the friendly match, and with Mauro Rosales permanently on the mend, losing Evans when the Sounders were just starting to regain their footing in recent matches would be a big blow.

Luckily, according to Coach Sigi Schmid, Evans shouldn't be out for too long. Evans had a little swelling in his right knee but the midfielder had the balky knee wrapped and jogged with the other starters in warmups.

"We feel with a little bit of rest over this weekend with our time off, that come Monday he should be very close to being ready to go or participating in the majority of practice," the coach said.
