Three weeks of MLS regular season play is in the books and the Seattle Sounders FC is starting off its season well. Seattle is 2-0 with six points, placing them No. 2 in the western conference standings. Three other teams in the western conference have six points, but the Sounders along with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC are undefeated. Sporting Kansas City is the only other team in the league with a perfect record so far this season.

The Sounders' next game is against the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday. San Jose currently is fourth in the western conference with six points and a 2-1 record.

San Jose will be the Sounders' first western conference opponent of the season. The Sounders have benefitted from the stellar play of David Estrada so far this season who has scored four of the team's five goals.
