CSD Comunicaciones vs. Seattle Sounders: Lineups And Analysis

The Sounders start what can only be described as their strongest possible lineup against Guatemalan side CSD Comunicaciones as Sigi Schmid recognizes that an inability to secure a point this evening means the path to the quarterfinals looks far more difficult. Seattle is in control of their own destiny in every way possible, and the current state of the group means that no result in the other game can alter their fortunes in any positive sense; without a point, Seattle will be forced to start their best lineup against Monterrey with advancement to the next round on the line. With a point, the result in the Monterrey game is largely meaningless.

So, no pressure then boys.

Seattle Sounders XI:

Kasey Keller; Zach Scott, Jeff Parke, Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, Tyson Wahl; Alvaro Fernandez, Osvaldo Alonso, Erik Friberg, Lamar Neagle; Mike Fucito, Fredy Montero

Sounders Bench:
