The Seattle Sounders were up against it on Saturday night as they traveled to Utah to face Real Salt Lake in the fortress known as Rio Tinto. And up 1-0 after Patrick Ianni's point-blank poke found the back of the net, it felt like Seattle still needed more. With time winding down, it was Lamar Neagle, the unlikeliest of heroes, stepping up to convert a jaw-dropping goal to give the Sounders what turned out to be a 2-1 win, snapping Real Salt Lake's 29-match home unbeaten streak.
↵Here is Neagle's superb strike from outside the box. There was absolutely nothing the keeper could do as Neagle's rocket hit the crossbar and ricocheted in to give the Sounders a bit of extra insurance. Be sure to vote for it in MLS' goal of the week poll.

From emergency sub after Alvaro Fernandez went down early in the match to hero with one swift strike. Soccer can be wonderful sometimes.
