Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson may not have the gaudy stats of some of the NFL's elite passers, but he has done more than enough to impress those around the league. Despite a tough loss in Week 4, the Seahawks are 2-2 this season and could compete for a playoff birth.

Many folks around the league are starting to take note of Wilson's play. According to a recent story from National Football Post, one high-ranking official believes Wilson is even better than what he has shown thus far due to a lack of playmakers at wide receiver.

People around the league have been very impressed with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. In fact, one NFC pro personnel director believes Wilson may be considerably better than he has shown. Why? He thinks Wilson's receivers are average. The personnel director pointed out the Seahawks don't have a true No. 1 receiver-instead they are playing with a 2, 3, 4 and 5. So in time, Wilson could really take off if he's surrounded with the right players.

It appears unlikely the Seahawks will be able to add much talent at wideout in the foreseeable future, so Wilson will have to make due with his current teammates. Sidney Rice, Golden Tate, Zach Miller and others have shown signs of breaking out, but none have been able to sustain that level of performance for more than a game or two. It'll be up to the rookie quarterback to continue establishing a connection with these players, and hopefully they'll lead to bigger offensive numbers in the coming weeks.
