2012 NFL power rankings, Week 4: Seahawks move up rankings despite controversial win

The Seattle Seahawks were on the positive side of one of the more talked about end of game scenarios in years. But they still get credit for a win and get credit in the Power Rankings.

A win is a win and the nation's pundits didn't penalize the Seattle Seahawks for their controversial win over the Green Bay Packers in the various Power Rankings. The Seahawks moved up or stayed put in all of them as no matter what people want to say, they are still 2-1.

SB Nation moved the Seahawks all the way up to No. 12 from No. 23 and reminded everyone that they now have wins over both the Cowboys and Packers. Those are impressive wins for a team that wasn't expected to do much damage this season.

ESPN moved the Seahawks from No. 17 to No. 10 and pointed out the irony in the Seahawks being the beneficiary of last night's debacle. Usually they are the ones complaining about the officiating.

CBS Sports kept the Seahawks at No. 11 and lauded the defense for the being what it is - special. But the offense will have to pick it up if they are going to make the playoffs, especially in what is turning into one of the more competitive divisions in football.
