Seattle Seahawks, Terrell Owens Could Agree To Contract Soon

The Seattle Seahawks brought Terrell Owens to their town this weekend, and now they could be on the verge of getting him to sign with them. Ed Werder of ESPN has initial the report that both sides are trying to get a contract done as soon as possible.

Owens missed the entire 2011 season because no team wanted to take a risk on his leg injury. Owens hasn't played in the league since 2010, when he was with the Cincinnati Bengals. Owens had 72 receptions for 983 receiving yards and nine touchdowns that season, so he's proven he can still be productive, and apparently he's still able to run at top speed (clocking 4.45 seconds during his visit).

And it should be noted that Owens might be signed for training camp, but he's no guarantee at all to make the 53 man roster. It'd just be one more chance for Owens to show that he can still be a productive member of an NFL team before he heads to retirement.
