The 2012 NFL preseason kicked off on Sunday with the Hall of Fame game, which means that football with consequences is right around the corner. The Seattle Seahawks are hard at work trying to build a strong team. It seems possible that wide receiver Terrell Owens may be part of those 2012 plans.
Dave Softy Mahler of Sportsradio 950AM reported on Sunday night that Owens was on his way to Seattle to meet with the Seahawks. Mahler reported that there is no word of a tryout or contract. There is no indication in what capacity he will be meeting with the team. It may or may not be to discuss playing for the team.
Owens last played in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010.
UPDATE: Mike Salk of 710 ESPN confirmed that the Seahawks are indeed bringing Owens in for a workout on Monday.
